Brewing Science Certificate

The Brewing Science Certificate prepares students with a strong set of skills to enter or advance in the craft brewing industry or related industries. Coursework is hybrid, in the evenings and on weekends to suit the schedules of working professionals. At 22 credits, the program is designed to be completed in just under one year. Topics include recipe design, beer styles, tasting, brewery operations, brewing law, brewery management, professional equipment, quality control/assurance, among others. Students intern at one of our partner breweries. Instructors are leading professionals in craft brewing.
