The College of Arts and Sciences is the largest and the most diverse of the five colleges at Sacred Heart University. The College offers Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees; an Associate in Arts degree; and a variety of minors and special programs.
The degrees are offered through the following academic departments: Art & Design, Biology, Catholic Studies, Chemistry, Communication Studies, History, Languages & Literature, Mathematics, Media & Performing Arts, Philosophy, Political Science & Global Affairs, Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Criminal Justice & Criminology, and Theology & Religious Studies.
The College offers Master’s degrees in Chemistry, Film & Television Production, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Journalism & Media Production, Public Administration, Social Work, Sports Communication & Media, and Strategic Communication & Public Relations, as well as doctoral programs in Organizational Development & Change and Social Work.
The College of Arts and Sciences strives to provide a learning environment that fosters the growth, development, and nurturing of the entire individual.
