Political Science
The Political Science major gives students the opportunity to combine their interest in current events and issues with the knowledge and skills they will need to succeed as professionals in law, government service, elective office, campaign management, teaching, and many areas of business and non-profit management, and journalism. The department also offers a 3 + 3 Bachelor’s and J.D. program.
Classroom learning is enriched in several ways, including trips to the state capitol and Washington, D.C. and internships with legislators in the Connecticut General Assembly, Washington and district offices, national legislators, party organizations and election campaigns, judges and law offices, and other public administrators.
