Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership
Degree Requirements
The Ed.D. in Educational Leadership can be completed in 3.5 to 4 years. The program is 60 credits. For students with Connecticut's 092 certificate, or another's state's equivalent certificate, two academic courses are waived (two of EDD 712, EDD 713, EDD 714). For students entering with a Sixth-Year Degree in SEAL SJ program at Sacred Heart University, an additional two courses are waived (EDD 705, EDD 710). Course waivers are granted on an individual basis and must be approved by the program director. If a candidate does not complete the dissertation by the end of Dissertation Seminar 4, then an enrollment fee equal to one credit's tuition will be charged for each semester until the candidate completes the dissertation.
