The Sixth-Year Degree in SEAL (Social, Emotional, and Academic Learning) for Social Justice Leadership is designed for those interested in further study in administration and will provide the required credits beyond the Master's degree to advance the 092 endorsement from provisional to professional. The Sixth-Year Degree in SEAL consists of an additional 15 credits beyond the 18-credit Intermediate Administrator Certificate program (33 total credits to earn the degree). The SEAL coursework is offered completely in a largely asynchronous online model and can be completed in as little as one year. Some synchronous, on-line meetings are part of every course and are scheduled as either small-group or whole-class sessions.

Students who complete this program are eligible to waive 12 credits in our Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership Program. Separate application and admission to the doctoral program is required.

This program focuses on social, emotional, and academic learning outcomes through practical applied courses in pedagogy, special education, literacy, numeracy, and social justice. Graduates move on to be dynamic, empathetic, and ethical leaders.
