Post-Master's Certificate: Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Online Program
Course Requirements
- All course work can be completed online which provides greater flexibility and less disruption to your personal and employment obligations.
- Courses are 16 weeks in length.
- 540 practicum hours with preceptor in conjunction with NU 571, NU 572, and NU 573 are required.

NU 571 Role Development of the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (6)
NU 772 The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner’s Role with Children and Their Families (6)
NU 573 Advanced Role Development of the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Complex Systems.
**The ”3 P’s” are pre-requisites for post-MSN NP certificates and must be taken within 5 years of matriculation or student will need to pass competency exam as designated by Program Director for PMHNP. They may be taken as part of the post-MSN certificate program if student does not meet the above requirements prior to taking the PMHNP specialty courses.
