International Students

The University provides academic and social support to its growing number of international students. The Office of International and Immigration Services (OIIS) is a part of the University’s Enrollment Management Division. All international students are encouraged to use the University services to seek assistance for their concerns and to become involved in campus activities. University services include the English as a Second Language (ESL) program, international & immingration services, international student life, and international student programming.

International Student Visa Certification

International students applying for an F-1 student visa must first be admitted to a full-time program of study and they must provide official documentation demonstrating sufficient funding to cover estimated tuition and living expenses to be issued and I-20 form needed to facilitate the F1 visa issuance.

Upon enrollment, students must comply with F1 visa regulations throughout their study and must maintain communication with the Office of International and Immigration Services (OIIS) to seek guidance on immigration matters. Students who plan to travel outside the United States during their program must obtain travel authorization from OIIS before departing. Students who decide not to return must follow the University’s withdrawal policy and they must notify the Office of International and Immigration Services (OIIS) in writing.

Failure to comply with F-1 visa regulations set by the Department of Homeland Security may result in the student being considered out of status and could lead to the termination of their I-20.
