PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The Master of Science in Human Resource Management (MS-HRM) program cultivates competent and adaptable HR professionals by equipping them with profound functional knowledge, comprehensive business understanding, and effective stakeholder relationships. The primary goal of the MS-HRM program is to mold future HR leaders who view HR as a strategic business partner. The program equips students with essential quantitative skills and cultivates high-level critical thinking skills required for success in the global business environment.

PROGRAM DELIVERY AND SCHEDULE

The MS-HRM program is delivered full-time and part-time, with courses provided in the evening. The program follows a trimester schedule and utilizes an online synchronous model for increased flexibility and accessibility.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

The minimum requirements for admission to the part-time MS-HRM program are:

  • A minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • A professional résumé.
  • A personal statement of purpose.
  • A letter of recommendation from individuals who can attest to the applicant’s ability to excel in graduate-level work and/or interest in the field of human resource management.

The admission package must be submitted when applying to the MS-HRM program. Meeting the minimum admission requirements does not guarantee acceptance into the program.

 

The Graduate Transfer Credit Policy governs the approval of transfer credits.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

  1. Functional Knowledge: Our graduates will describe the basic knowledge and skills of the disciplines that comprise the human resource field, including recruiting and selection, compensation and benefits, employee training and development, workforce planning and talent management, and performance management.
  2. Business Understanding: Our graduate will demonstrate a basic understanding of business and the role of strategic human resource management in the organization, and the business skills necessary to contribute to the achievement of organizational goals in a rapidly changing global environment.
  3. Stakeholder Relationships: Our graduate will understand the leadership role of human resources in shaping the future of organizations such as: creating and managing global workforces, working in diverse organizations, managing strategic change in the organization, creating strategic partnerships both within the organization and external to the organization, and managing the well-being of employees.
  4. Experiential Learning: Our graduate will apply the theories and skills needed to become a strategic partner in the core business of the organization and in the strategic development of the organization’s future.

HUMAN RESOURSE MANAGEMENT COURSE REQUIREMENTS

Students in the program must complete a total of 30 credits.

DUAL DEGREE PROGRAM WITH MBA
