HS 204 Introduction to Research in Health Science

This course is designed to provide an overview of the research process for undergraduate students in health science. The course develops the basic skill of understanding and critically analyzing research findings. Research methods are introduced with emphasis placed on understanding and applying key research principles as a foundation for evidence-based practice in healthcare.  Various types of research design and methods are explored.   Students will have the opportunity to design a research proposal project to gain understanding of the research process and issues related to conducting research. Course Prerequisites: Must be HS major or CMD major; must take HS 200 prior to taking this course.
