EX 416 Applied Pharmacology in Exercise Science
This course is designed to provide the student with an understanding of the mechanism by which drugs alter the living cell as it relates to the physiological manifestation of discease. Beginning with an overview of concepts such as general pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics, this course will build to apply these general principles to disease states relevant to the Exercise Science Professional. Upon completion of this course, the student will have a strong understanding of drug therapeutics relevant to clinical situations and specific patient populations.
